Kaavya Ashok Krishna is a purpose driven storyteller. She has worked on creating and implementing communications and knowledge campaigns in over 50 countries across 4 continents.
She currently leads the implementation of leanring and advocacy on Crisis and Climate Risk Finance at the World Bank Group, where she works in collaboration with Ministers of Finance globally, to raise awareness and upskill stakeholders on Climate Finance. Over the last decade, she has worked across multiple sectors in the World Bank and United Nations spanning education, sustainability, finance, and governance. Prior to the World Bank Group, she spent several years as a journalist, focusing on education and technology sectors, publishing columns in the Indian Express and Deccan Herald.
Her portfolio includes communications and knowledge work for some of the biggest brands in the world such as the United Nations, The International Finance Corporation, IMG Worldwide, Warner Bros, The Center for Civic Education etc.
Kaavya is inspired by the strong women in her life – her mother, aunts, and grandmother- who used the power of storytelling to market their non-traditional businesses.
Kaavya spends her free time buying and reading too many books, painting, playing with her dog Ash and exploring new cuisines with her husband.
