Karina Wilsher, Partner and Global CEO of Anomaly

Karina Wilsher is Partner and Global CEO of Anomaly, focused on the company’s continued evolution at the forefront of the industry and strengthening its six offices – in New York, LA, London, Amsterdam, Toronto, and Shanghai.

Karina was appointed Global COO in 2017 – when Anomaly was named Ad Age ‘Agency of the Year’ – and had previously spent seven years as CEO of the network’s flagship office in New York, leading a period of record growth and evolution.

Anomaly is a difficult to define, but exciting to work at ‘new model’ company. Driven by a passionate and entrepreneurial culture encompassing a diverse, elastic set of skills. Anomaly’s client roster includes Anheuser-Busch InBev, Cancer Research UK, Chevrolet, Diageo, Ferrero Group, Google, HOKA, LVMH, Starbucks and Target. Anomaly has been recognized for a very wide range of work, including Adweek’s U.S. Agency of the Year, Ad Age’s Agency of the Year, Fast Company’s Most Innovative. Equally interesting is Anomaly’s IP portfolio all of which the agency has created and co-owns, which includes the medicinal cannabis brand dosist, recognized as one of Time Magazine’s Best Inventions; Mighty Jaxx, the Toy of The Year; and the culinary lifestyle brand Avec Eric, for which it has won multiple Emmys for its Netflix series called Avec Eric.

Prior to Anomaly, Karina was Partner and Managing Director of Fallon London, helping it grow from a startup to a Top Ten agency. Under her leadership, the agency doubled its revenue, and was awarded Campaign’s UK Agency of the Year in 2006 and 2007. Fallon went on to become the most creatively awarded agency in the world (Gunn Report 2008), with creative highlights including a Cannes Grand Prix, a rare D&AD Black Pencil for Cadbury ’Gorilla’, Cannes Gold for Skoda ’Cake’ which was one of ITV’s Ads of the Decade, and global recognition for the agency’s Sony Bravia campaign.

Karina plays a key role in the industry in both the US and UK. She is Vice Chair of Effie Worldwide Board and was Chair of Effie UK Council for five years. She is a member of Meta’s Global Creative Council, Women in Advertising and Communications Leadership (WACL) and was a Founding Member of TimesUpAdvertising.

Karina is somewhat obsessed with faraway travel and her greatest achievement is raising her lovely and ‘lively’ teenage sons with her husband Dom.
