Kate is Head of Marketing at UKTV, responsible for the strategic marketing approach for scripted programming, including UKTV’s largest commissions. It’s an exciting role that sees Kate collaborate closely with UKTV’s in-house creative team to launch new shows that drive buzz and viewership. Before this, Kate spent five years as Head of Marketing for UKTV’s VOD player, U (formerly UKTV Play), and was part of the Senior Digital Leadership team that drove huge YoY growth, doubling the platform’s viewing figures in the last two years.
Kate joined UKTV with significant TV expertise already, having previously worked on brand strategy and campaign planning for Sky’s entertainment channel portfolio. During her time at Sky, Kate was a founding member of the NOW marketing team and played a key role in growing the new platform from launch to over a million customers. Transformation has been a clear through-line in Kate’s career, with her having grown teams, capability and martech in multiple roles. Prior to working in TV, Kate built her foundational knowledge of marketing in creative agencies on retail and digital accounts and winning pitches that earned her several internal recognition awards.
As Kate progressed into leadership, she has remained committed to developing others. She has a long history as a mentor and has been a member of the Bloom mentoring scheme for the last three years.
