You may not know his name, but chances are Kirt’s been in your home, your fridge or your bathroom cabinet. Kirt has spent the better part of the last two decades working in marketing and brand strategy for some of the world’s most recognisable household brands, including Mars Chocolates, Carlton Draught, Neutrogena and Subway restaurants.
After a pivot to telco 7 years ago, Kirt now heads up the Marketing team for Telstra’s Business division, leading a group of 70 passionate marketers across Customer Propositions, Marketing Communications, 1:1 Journey Design & CRM and Events & Experiences.
With stints overseas in London and New York, Kirt loves to share his global marketing experience as a guest lecturer in Brand Management at the Queensland University of Technology, and Industry Mentor in Thomas Barta and Syl Saller’s Marketing Leadership Masterclass. Kirt also works with clients on brand strategy and management as part of the marketing consultancy he founded as a COVID side-hustle.
Always up for a challenge, Kirt has recently started his MBA at the University of Queensland’s Business School after being awarded a scholarship in their program and expects to complete it sometime in 2050…
Outside the world of Marketing, Kirt’s spends a large portion of his time eating. His Favourite thing to do is make his kids laugh and he can be easily talked into karaoke (song of choice: Piano Man by Billy Joel).
