Kristy Bloomfield believes the most enduring brands are built by solving meaningful commercial problems, creating cultures where people thrive, and never accepting that “the way it’s always been done” is the only way forward.
Over the past two decades, she has built a career at the intersection of brand, commercial strategy and leadership, helping organisations transform ambitious ideas into globally recognised businesses. Today, as CEO and Co-Founder of The Ben Buckler Whisky Company, she is building a modern Australian spirits brand designed to reshape how the next generation engages with whisky. Previously, as Chief Marketing Officer of Sullivans Cove Whisky, she led the global marketing and growth strategy for one of the world’s most awarded luxury whisky brands.
Before entering the luxury spirits category, Kristy served as Global Chief Marketing Officer at Lyre’s Non-Alcoholic Spirits, where she helped take an Australian start-up into more than 60 markets and establish the brand as the world’s leading non-alcoholic spirits company. Her career has also included leadership roles across Coca-Cola, Lion, ABI, NRMA and Acer, giving her experience that spans multinational corporations, scale-ups and founder-led businesses.
Holding an MBA, a Bachelor of Laws and Practical Legal Training through the College of Law, Kristy brings together commercial thinking, strategic marketing and governance to help businesses navigate growth with clarity. She is driven less by marketing for marketing’s sake, and more by using brands as commercial assets that create sustainable value for customers, teams and shareholders alike.
Kristy is equally passionate about developing people. She believes the role of leadership is to create environments where talented people can do the best work of their careers, and that the true measure of success is not only the commercial outcomes achieved, but the leaders developed along the way.
A recipient of Coca-Cola’s Global Marketing CAN Award and a proud Marketing Academy alumnus, Kristy continues to mentor emerging leaders, speak on brand and business transformation, and champion a leadership style grounded in curiosity, courage and generosity. She is energised by building businesses that challenge categories, creating teams that outperform expectations, and proving that commercial success and human-centred leadership are not competing ambitions—they are inseparable.
