Krystal Putman-Garcia is a growth oriented marketing, operational and strategic leader who has spent 20+ years helping companies build and scale for sustainable growth. As former Chief Marketing Officer at FiscalNote, she has led the transformation of FiscalNote to become one of the top policy and global risk brands (NYSE: NOTE) – and one of the fastest growing companies in the D.C. area. She has also served as the general manager for FiscalNote’s Community business, leading the vision and strategic direction of Board.org and the FiscalNote Executive Institute (FNEI).
Before joining FiscalNote, Krystal ran demand generation at EAB. She also launched a marketing function at Localist, a D.C. area startup, ran marketing for PBS’ education division, and has held a variety of marketing and leadership roles at Discovery Communications, TrustArc, BearingPoint, and CEB.
In Krystal was named a 2022 Washington Business Journal Women Who Mean Business Honoree, 2022 Bronze Stevie Winner for Marketing Executive of the Year, and has been recognized as a Star CMO by DCA Live from 2020-2022.
She serves as a Member, Board of Advisors for Media4Math, Founding Member of Chief DC, and is a Sustainer for the Junior League of Washington D.C. Krystal holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a B.S. from Tulane University.
When not scaling growth and building high performing teams, Krystal enjoys running, eating chocolate chip cookies, solving crossword puzzles and sudokus daily, and spending time with her husband and three kids. Fun fact about Krystal: she is an identical twin and has a set of twins.
