Leah is currently the Head of Consumer Marketing for Consumer Apps, Platforms and YouTube at Google. Leading a small but mighty team across three different parts of a complex business, she’s responsible for reigniting Aussie’s excitement for Google Search, helping drive the Android brand through the magic of AI and showcasing the value of YouTube to Australia. Having been at Google for 6 years in B2C roles, Leah loves finding the intersection of human and product insights to tell stories that people connect to, most notably leading the ‘Helping You Help Them’ work for Google Search which went on to win the B&T ‘Campaign of the Year’ Award.
Before her move into Tech she was a firm FMCG girly, with years at Diageo, Frucor Suntory and Danone under her belt. As a Brit-abroad, diving into the treacly-waters of Bundaberg whilst leading the Rum portfolio at Diageo was the ultimate Australian immersion. She’s passionate about all the different brands she’s been lucky enough to work on but the team she’s a part of is where she finds her real energy- she believes that a team that feels truly empowered is where the magic happens. The chance to join the Marketing Academy and think deeply about the kind of teams she wants to create and be part of is a dream come true.
Outside of work she has a 3 year old and a 1 year old, so spends far too much time in playgrounds and now sees work as valuable ‘me time’.
