Liam Angel, Senior Brand Manager – Lucozade Sport, Lucozade Ribena Suntory

A passionate, bold & award-winning marketeer, Liam is currently responsible for Lucozade Sport, the UK’s no.1 sports drink. During his tenure so far, he has delivered 3 years of consistent double digital growth, whilst staying true to the brands purpose of helping the nation lead healthy and active lifestyles.

In his role as Senior Brand Manager, Liam is accountable for all elements of the marketing mix, defining the brand’s long-term strategy and leading a cross functional team to deliver consumer centric campaigns, with a key focus on communication, innovation & activation. Recent successes include; being shortlisted for Campaign’s Brave Brand of the Year, for the England Women’s – Lionesses Campaign, which encouraged female participation in sport; and a range of innovative product collaborations with Anthony Joshua & Raheem Sterling.

Liam started his career at PepsiCo, on Mountain Dew & Pepsi Max, working on their now famous Unbelievable campaign, before starting the Unilever Graduate scheme. Whilst at Unilever, Liam worked on Colman’s in a local marketing role, before moving to the Netherlands, to take on both European & Global innovation roles on Hellmann’s, delivering cut-through innovation for their global dressings business.

Outside of work, Liam is a keen Scuba Diver, and has a penchant for all things sport, having studied Kung Fu, Thai Boxing, and plays football regularly. Liam is also a keen world traveller and is currently studying Italian.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
