Lisa Vortsman is a senior enterprise leader and Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer with more than 20 years of experience driving growth, transformation, and portfolio value creation across multi-billion-dollar consumer brands. She is known for leading with a general manager mindset—balancing brand equity, creative breakthrough and operational execution while building high-performing teams and guiding organizations through reinvention and change at scale.
Currently, Lisa serves as Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer for U.S. Ice Cream at The Magnum Ice Cream Company, where she leads the largest country within the portfolio. In this role, she has shaped the standalone strategy and innovation vision following the demerger from Unilever, orchestrating new creative principles, product development, consumer learning, and agency ecosystems to ensure continuity on Day 1 and build momentum into Day 2.
Across her tenure at Unilever and The Magnum Ice Cream Company, Lisa has led eight iconic brands—including Magnum, Breyer’s, Popsicle, Klondike, Yasso and Talenti—driving market leadership with a best-in-class innovation engine. Her teams have set records in repeat rates, point-of-sale performance, and consumer ratings, while strengthening brand power across differentiation, meaningfulness, and saliency. She also played a key role in the acquisition and acceleration of Yasso, scaling the brand to strong growth post-acquisition.
A recognized change agent, Lisa has embedded advanced digital and AI-enabled marketing capabilities into enterprise flywheel campaigns—expanding content output by more than 30% while reducing costs by 40%. She has built modern consumer insight and measurement infrastructures, including predictive listening and AI-driven personas, enabling performance-led marketing and more agile decision-making. Her work frequently sits at the intersection of creativity, technology, and culture, helping brands create both cultural meaning and lasting business impact.
Earlier in her career, Lisa held progressive leadership roles across brand development, portfolio strategy, and global category growth, spanning Ice Cream, Spreads, and Dressings. She has partnered closely with global, regional, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovation, reposition brands, and establish scalable growth models adopted across markets. In addition to her corporate leadership, Lisa has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business, teaching experiential marketing and social innovation.
Lisa holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Finance & International Business from NYU’s Stern School of Business. She is a Cannes Lions award recipient and a frequent contributor to conversations on brand leadership, innovation, AI in marketing, and Marketing transformation.
