An energetic, fun and straight-talking Scot, Louise is known for her love of taking on challenges and making big outcomes happen. Louise has built a varied career in marketing with a unique blend of marketing, innovation and retail, FMCG at FTSE 100s and recent high growth scale up D2C experience
Louise’s current role is marketing director at Huel, the world’s no 1 complete food brand and Sunday Times Fasttrack top 10 business. The role is broad, varied and ever-changing, as is typical with high growth scale ups, covering brand and creative, acquisition marketing, NPD pipeline and launches including the recent Huel Hot & Savoury and Huel Complete Protein as well as growing Huel’s world class customer experience team from 10 to 45 people. Huel is sold in over 100 countries round the world and is a unique disruptive brand, looking to change the way people view and eat food.
Prior to that Louise had a successful career at Diageo, the world’s leading premium drinks company working on legacy brands such as Guinness, Smirnoff and Captain Morgan as well as developing and launching new brands such as Hophouse 13 and Gordons Pink Gin. She also defined and set up Diageo’s shopper marketing approach, building real expertise in the world of retail.
Louise started her marketing career on the graduate trainee scheme at Kimberly Clark working on brands such as Kleenex and chasing the Andrex puppy around on ad shoots.
In her spare time, Louise is Mum to two young boys Finlay and Angus and continues to rather inflexibly fall in love with yoga. She also makes a mean cocktail after 12 years in the drinks industry.
