Marcus Buck, Senior Brand Manager, Innovation – KFC UK & Ireland

 

Marcus is responsible for imagining what the future KFC menu should look like, and then making it a reality across 900+ stores in the UK & Ireland.

In his role as Senior Brand Manager for Innovation, he identifies the brand’s future growth priorities and leads a cross-functional team on product ideation, concept development and consumer validation. Against a backdrop of a rapidly changing customer preferences and behaviour, Marcus uses a combination of insight and creativity to deliver a pipeline of distinctive innovation which fuels business growth and brand consideration. Recent successful product launches include new Twister Wraps and the I Love You Bacon Burger – with the best yet to come!

Prior to KFC, Marcus spent four years at Unilever where he held a variety of brand management roles in the Beauty & Personal Care business, working on brands such as Lynx, TIGI haircare and Dove. A highlight from his time at Unilever was launching Baby Dove in the UK & Ireland – one of the biggest brand extensions in Dove’s history which won national media recognition for the ‘no perfect mums – just real ones’ launch campaign.

Marcus started his career as a graduate trainee at Engine, cutting his teeth as an Account Executive on Radox, Bupa and Santander in WCRS.

Outside of work, he can be found on a spinning bike planning to open a pop-up concept restaurant.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
