Mark is the Head of Marketing at MSC Industrial, a $4.5B leading North American distributor of metalworking and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products and services. He has led/advised multiple companies from start ups to F100, planning to utilize Marketing Technology in support of their growth initiatives during his 25 year career. Examples of past efforts include leading senior leadership teams through the process of aligning top-line growth strategies with sales and marketing tech strategy, realigning the marketing operations function in support of new digital capabailities, and onboarding business transformational digital opportunities.
Previous work experience has included stints or engagements with Emaar, Staples, Sears, BP, Chico’s, JP Morgan Chase and Walgreens. Mark has also been an advisor to multiple start ups and was the founder in another where he successfully exited in 2012.
Mark holds a BA from the college of Wooster, a Master’s from George Washington University, and has been a graduate student at the University of Chicago and DePaul University, with concentrations in computer science and finance & operations management, respectively.
After college, Mark began his professional career in service with the US Marine Corps; achieving the rank of a captain and is a combat veteran.
He currently resides in the Chicagoland area with his wife, Angela, and their 3 kids; Lauren (junior at The Ohio State University), Joshua and Isabella.
