Matt Kennedy is Chief Product & Commercial Officer at giffgaff – a multi-award winning UK mobile operator that prides itself on doing things differently. He brings together below-the-line marketing with the commercial functions of acquisition, retention, strategy, media performance, supply chain, and partnerships.
Prior to giffgaff, Matt spent 15 years in a variety of marketing roles from web design, to performance marketing, adtech, martech, digital strategy, PR and media relations.
In the noughties, Matt built award-winning category-first sales tools for IBM, re-invented the marketing technology stack at Symantec, and doubled digital marketing ROI for Polycom in 2 years. He then moved into UK telco at Tesco Mobile, building a digital business from the ground up, designing a Google-based attribution solution that had Google scratching their heads, and winning awards like The Drum Grand Prix, for re-setting the way brands can engage with the public in social, along the way.
Having worked in a wide range of businesses and marketing departments, Matt understands and champions the importance of a diverse, open and inclusive culture.
