Megan Garvey, VP, Marketing Strategy, Analytics & Planning, Workday

Megan Garvey is a results and data driven marketing professional with over 11 years of experience in business operations, analytics, and marketing strategy. In her current role as Vice President of Marketing Strategy, Analytics & Planning at Workday, she leads a large team focused on developing the company’s annual and long-range marketing plans. Within her first year at Workday, Megan developed a new annual planning framework, which included a budget allocation proposal informed by peer benchmarks and industry best practices. She rebuilt the marketing data infrastructure, developed a new set of metrics, and established a standard reporting and review cadence. Her significant impact was recognized when she received Workday’s first Marketer of the Year award within her first 12 months in the role.

Prior to Workday, Megan served as Senior Director Marketing Strategy & Analytics at Salesforce. In her time at Salesforce, she took on several roles, leading teams responsible for GTM strategy, business operations, and marketing analytics. She was instrumental in developing playbooks for new product introductions, building and optimizing the inbound funnel, and providing strategic recommendations that led to a 26% improvement in marketing ROI. Prior to Salesforce, Megan worked for IBM Global Business Services as a Business Analytics Consultant, where she was honored with the Manager’s Choice Award for exceptional client delivery.

Megan holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and an additional major in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University. A former NCAA Academic All-American and NCAA Athletic All-American in swimming, she brings a disciplined and strategic approach to her work and believes in putting in the work every day!

Outside of work, Megan can be found spending time with her two young children and her husband. She remains active and enjoys pretty much any outdoor activity, especially those near the water!

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
