Melissa Cicero is a marketer who loves turning big problems into smart, simple ideas that move people — and move the numbers. With more than 18 years of experience across banking, fintech and creative agencies, she now leads Home Buying Marketing at CommBank, where she works with a talented team to support Australians through one of life’s biggest milestones.

Energised by innovation and obsessed with great creative, Melissa is at her best when she’s helping her team grow and succeed. She believes marketing can be both commercially powerful and deeply customer-centric, and she has spent her career proving this through measurable uplift, strategic clarity and award-winning work.

Driven by a passion for culture, people and purposeful leadership, Melissa mentors emerging marketers and champions diversity and inclusion.

When she’s not busy at work, Melissa is chasing after her two young boys, enjoying long beach walks, or making homemade pizza in her wood-fire oven surrounded by family and friends. And despite her Italian heritage — she’ll happily admit she’ll always choose pineapple on a pizza.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
