Michelle Walsh is a diverse Marketing professional with over two decades of extensive experience in the entertainment, retail and shopping mall industries. Currently the Senior Director, Marketing at Majid Al Futtaim Properties Asset Management Business Unit, she is responsible for developing and executing strategies for Marketing, Digital, CX & Innovation, Communications, Brand, Consumer Engagement, Loyalty and B2B to drive growth across 29 shopping malls in the Middle East.
Prior to this, Michelle held a number of positions across Majid al Futtaim, one was as Chief Operating Officer for VOX Cinemas – the leading cinema chain in the Middle East, and Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer of Majid al Futtaim Entertainment overseeing the world-renowned Ski Dubai, VOX Cinemas and a portfolio of Family Entertainment Centers.
Acquiring a unique blend of Marketing and Operations has allowed Michelle to lead highly skilled teams of disciplined industry experts, deliver operational excellence and accelerate the performance of the various brands she has worked for across the Majid al Futtaim Group. Much of her focus is fixed on building for the future, with specific attention being paid to firmly establishing Majid Al Futtaim as the region’s leading shopping mall operator through delivering cutting edge Customer Experiences, an impactful Loyalty and Customer Engagement agenda and building trusted Brands.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, having graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland; and has also undertaken a number of executive development courses, including Data Science at the London School of Economics, Mastering Design Thinking at MIT and Brand Creation & Rejuvenation at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Originally from Ireland, Michelle has lived in the United Arab Emirates for 17 years, she is a passionate seven-handicap golfer and is currently the Lady Vice Captain at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
