Nick Andrew, Managing Partner, AMV BBDO

Nick is a Managing Partner at AMV BBDO, one of the UK’s largest and most successful advertising agencies, which he joined as part of its esteemed graduate program.

He currently runs the agency’s Diageo business, central to which is the world-famous Guinness account, a brand that he has looked after for the last five years – across Europe, Africa and APAC. During his tenure, he has helped the brand to grow sales and share in every market as well as creating award-wining comms and campaigns that have been recognised for their creativity at Cannes Lions and D&AD and, more importantly, for their business-changing effectiveness at the IPA and APG awards. This success was capped in 2023 when Guinness was named both Brand of the Year by Marketing Week and became the UK’s number one selling pint for the first time in its 260 year history.

Alongside Diageo, he also runs the agency’s Kenvue (formerly J&J) portfolio, overseeing breakthrough strategy and integrated creative work for huge global brands including Nicorette, Calpol, Listerine and Zarbee’s.

Outside of his day-to-day account duties Nick is passionate about people and led the agency’s Account Management Department for four years – helping to set the cultural, pastoral and developmental agenda for more than 80 his peers. He aims to build a positive, inclusive and highly-motivated environment where people are free and inspired to do their best work.

Beyond the walls of AMV BBDO, Nick also sits on the IPA’s Client Relationship Group, which focuses on building strong, open and reciprocal relationship between agencies and their client partners. And juggles the needs of two ‘energetic’ young children.
