Nick is Head of Activation at Wateraid, a charity working to ensure everyone, everywhere has access to clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.
Nick began his career at Southbank Centre where he managed the marketing for a number of major festivals and the Gigs & Contemporary Music programme, before joining The Guardian.
At The Guardian he was the marketing lead for the launch of Guardian Membership, a ground-breaking scheme which transformed the business’ approach to reader revenue. As well defining the first positioning around supporting The Guardian, Nick was also part of the team that launched a new one-off financial contributions product. This new approach to reader revenue saw over 1 million people support The Guardian financially and was a key pillar to the business breaking even for the first time in twenty years.
After The Guardian, Nick moved to Frieze as Head of Marketing, where he launched a number of new products and events, including two sold out editions of Frieze Los Angeles.
Nick is part of the Board Marketing Committee at the ICA in London, an advisor to NTS radio station, and a Non-Exec Director at Everyday Plastic. He’s also a downtrodden but still believing football fan, and a runner trying to summon the courage for another marathon.
