Lisa Li (李宁) is Chief Marketing Officer at Amazon Web Services, Greater China Region, bringing 25 years of diversified experience at the forefront of global technology evolution. Her unique cross-functional journey—spanning sales, strategic consulting, and marketing leadership at AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and IBM—has shaped her distinctive ability to navigate complexity and build scalable mechanisms that multiply organizational impact.

At AWS GCR, she reversed challenging brand perception in one of AWS’s most competitive markets globally. At Alibaba Cloud, she built the global marketing organization from scratch, creating industry-defining campaigns. At IBM, she successfully transitioned from strategic consultant to marketing leadership.

Her leadership philosophy embodies startup mentality—maintaining ambition, speed, and competitive edge through scalable mechanisms. She is energized by AI transformation and Chinese enterprises’ global expansion, aspiring to broader business leadership roles. Lisa holds an MBA from Peking University’s BiMBA programme.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
