Olga Alpeter, Marketing Director, Q-tips & Canada, Elida Beauty

From frozen Italian food to cotton on a stick, Olga has seen it all in her 12+ year career at Unilever and now, Elida Beauty. As the Marketing Director for Q-tips and the Canadian business, Olga is the strategic lead for driving iconic brands out of the shadows and into a new phase of life.Be it with the latest campaign on cotton swabs called “Don’t Fuzz it Up”, or the launch of cotton balls with “We’ve Got Balls!”, Olga is passionate about bringing humor and vibrancy into FMCG marketing that helps jolt people out of their routine.

Olga spent a decade learning the ins and outs of FMCG after working on brands like Dove Men+Care, St Ives & Pond’s, and over 5 years on tasty treats in Unilever’s ice cream portfolio. She fondly remembers the days of giving away Good Humor and Klondike bars on the streets of NYC for their annual “Day of Joy” and weekly tasting meetings to determine the best new ice cream sauce or cookie.

Before finding her passion in marketing, Olga spent the first years of her career in Supply Chain, moving around in Procurement and Planning, while even spending time in a tea factory. It was during this time she learned that her happy place is where she can use her love for data to take things beyond the production floor but into the world of ‘what could be’.

Olga’s a graduate of The Ohio State University, and with an MBA in Marketing from Fordham University. Outside of work Olga loves baking sourdough and cooking delicious gourmet meals that ultimately none of her three children will eat.
