Oliver is an experienced marketing leader, currently driving brand and campaign strategy across Direct Line, Churchill and Green Flag brands. As a Senior Marketing Consultant, he plays a central role in planning, execution and delivery across the entire marketing funnel. Most recently he led on of the most significant projects of the year; the group’s creative agency pitch process and is now leading the Direct Line brand relaunch, the largest repositioning of the brand in over a decade.
Prior to joining Direct Line, Oliver spent over a decade agency side, holding senior roles at adam&eveDDB, Havas and Grey London. At adam&eveDDB he led the Unilever account, delivering both global and national campaigns for Lipton, Colman’s, Pot Noodle and Marmite. His output has won multiple awards including Gold Cannes Lions, IPA Effectiveness Awards, Euro Effie’s, D&AD Pencils and One Show accolades. During his time in agencies, he also delivered campaigns for P&G, Rolls-Royce, Heathrow, Carling and GSK, gaining experience across luxury, travel, FMCG and beverages categories.
Oliver is highly passionate about giving back to the marketing industry. For nearly two years he has been a Mentor on the Marketing Leadership Masterclass, working closely with Thomas Barta and Syl Saller. He’s also a D&I champion at Direct Line Group having led department-wide training on inclusive marketing.
He plays an active role in the Marketing Society, contributing to the newsletter and participating in the Leadership Mentoring Programme. Oliver is also a regular judge across leading awards including the DMA Awards, Independent Agency Awards, Young Cannes Lions, and Campaign Experience Awards.
When he’s not knee-deep in brand plans, Oliver can often be found chasing after his Jack Russell Jasper or planning his next long-distance hike, ideally somewhere off-grid and far from any Wi-Fi signal.
