A strong leader specializing in building executive teams to deliver transformation, growth and a reimagined customer experience while effectively engaging with Boards, Rating Agencies and Regulators, Paul has the ability to draw on over 30 years of global experience in broad based Financial Services, Telecommunications and Insurance, including senior appointments in Australia, the United States, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and Ireland. He is also a seasoned CEO that led Australia’s 5th largest bank and top 10 company to a record profit of over $1.5bn with over a $100bn in assets, more than 400 branches, and around 10,000 people.
Paul has broad experience in technology and telecommunications and led the strategy and M&A for Australia’s largest telco, a $60bn company, and one of the world’s largest telecommunications media and technology companies. He’s focused on new ways of doing business, as well as growth technologies as they relate to businesses and consumers, and the evolution of new operating models to best engage and exceed customer demands.
Paul is an experienced CEO and Non-Executive Director with through the cycle experience having led a bank through the GFC as well as having experience as a COO, Group Head of Retail Banking and Group Head of Wealth Management in the UK, USA, Asia and Australia. He is also an experienced Non-Executive Director of Australia’s largest Wealth Manager and 15th largest company as well as Chairman of their bank with over $10bn in Assets, and group Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committees
