Philip Raperport, Radio & Music Commissioning Executive, BBC

Philip is a commissioning executive developing breakthrough music shows, mixes and podcasts for audiences across BBC Sounds and BBC Radio 3. His focus is new formats and content that blend genres from classical to pop to hip-hop and give a platform to new and established global artists. Hit shows include Tearjerker with RnB superstar Jorja Smith and Downtime Symphony with BRIT-award winner Celeste.

Before this Philip was Head of Drama Franchise Marketing for Sherlock and Doctor Who at BBC Studios, leading marcomms strategy and award-winning campaigns for two of the BBC’s biggest global franchise brands. Previous to this he headed up marketing for BBC Radio 3 and spent time in advertising at AMVBBDO working on the flagship Guinness and Sainsbury’s accounts.

Alongside work he’s studying for an MSc in Business and Strategic Leadership, a member of the Editorial Board for BBC Music Magazine and an enthusiastic (if dodgy) singer.
