Rachael Townsley, Marketing Director, Indeed

Rachael is a passionate marketer with knowledge and experience across the marketing and communications spectrum, garnered through a 14 year international marketing career. In 2022, Rachael joined the #1 job site in the world, Indeed, as the Marketing Director for Australia, on a mission to help people find jobs, every day. She plays an integral role in developing Indeed’s country strategy and is responsible for leading programs to build the brand and drive demand across employer and job seeker audiences.

Prior to Indeed, Rachael was the APAC Head of Marketing for the ad tech company, Quantcast. Here she
spent over 4 years transforming the marketing division in the region, launching the brand into new markets and delivering integrated marketing initiatives to drive growth and revenue.

Since moving to Australia almost a decade ago, Rachael has held senior marketing positions for the music
streaming platform, Pandora, and one of Australia’s leading media companies, Southern Cross Austero.
Before migrating to Australia, she worked for some of the world’s largest entertainment brands including
ITV, NBCUniversal and The Walt Disney Company. Rachael has sought out roles that offer new challenges
and experiences, moving from entertainment to ad tech to employment, enterprise level to start up, market leader to challenger brand.

Rachael is a curious marketer, inspired to create positive and measurable change. She is energised by
people, creativity and challenge and loves leading teams to build brands and deliver real business value.
Outside of work you’ll find Rachael in one of three places…by the beach, at the park, or in a cafe. Weekend life centres around family and friends and most importantly spending time with her energetic toddler. Whatever the day, wherever she is, you know that Rachael will be present, authentic, and bringing a sense of humour to everything she does.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
