Rich is the Marketing Director for KFC UK & Ireland. He leads a cross functional team across Brand, Media, Loyalty, Social, Consumer PR, CRM and Marketing Operations for KFC’s 1000+ restaurants and 30,000+ team members. Richard and his team are responsible for all consumer facing elements of the KFC Brand, its strategic direction and distinctive expression. He and his team are also responsible for the brand being on the ‘cultural pulse’ of UK & Irish consumers helping to make the brand famous to drive a competitive advantage.
Prior to this Rich had held several Customer roles at Tesco, leading and helping develop large change propositions for the retailer: Tesco Farm Brands, re-launching Tesco’s Own Brand portfolio and Tesco Clubcard Prices to name but a few. Before Tesco, he started his career in the creative industry at JWT, attaining one of their highly sought after Graduate Programme roles.
Rich is a heart-led leader who is passionate about developing talent and supporting his network. He seeks to listen and understand first, believing that our differences and different points of view, are a towering strength in life and business alike. This belief has been shaped by his experiences of growing up in the UK, The Netherlands, and The Philippines. At KFC, he has a passion for better supporting female colleagues returning from maternity leave.
Outside of work he’s a husband to his wonderful wife, Sarah, and together they are the parents to a young family. When not spending time with them, you can find Rich enjoying the countryside either running or on his road bike with friends. Plus he loves coffee!
