Sophia Angelis, SVP Global Marketing Excellence Director, Brown-Forman

A seasoned marketing leader with 25+ years of experience in premium brands and services across hospitality, beauty and beverages, Sophia is currently pursuing a portfolio career focused on consultancy, advisory, and coaching to drive growth for people, brands, and businesses.

In her recent executive role as SVP Managing Director for Jack Daniel’s at Brown-Forman, Sophia led the brand to double-digit growth by launching its first global campaign, securing a major global sponsorship and accelerating innovation.

As SVP Global Marketing Excellence Director, she created and launched Brown-Forman’s first Marketing Capabilities Strategy and Program building future-focused marketing competencies that enabled measurable people, brand, and business growth. She also played a pivotal role in designing and implementing Brown-Forman’s digital transformation strategy.

Passionate about developing talent, Sophia has mentored numerous professionals in and outside of Brown-Forman and currently serves as a Mentor at the School of Marketing. She is also a Trustee with the Caspari Foundation, supporting children’s learning and mental well-being through educational psychotherapy.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
