Stephanie Dore-Smith, Chief Growth & Engagement Officer – CareChoice

Stephanie is a leading end-to-end-marketer with experience across multiple categories for brands including L’Oreal, Fosters, Treasury Wine Estates, Simplot and Mattel – many roles with regional and global remit.

Now in destination marketing, Stephanie is the Senior Marketing Manager at Crown Resorts leading Bars, Nightclubs and Strategic Projects.

Her role encompasses leading the portfolio strategy and campaign pipeline for Bars and Nightclubs, further evolving and leveraging business partnerships and leading multiple strategic projects to further drive business performance.

Prior to Crown, Stephanie worked at Mattel, leading Fisher-Price regionally. Working with the global team she introduced a new approach to portfolio planning, value realisation and business planning and led the first localised creative campaign for Fisher-Price globally.

Craft wise she has a great creative radar and genuine marketer’s brain, striving to ensure the work her and her team delivers has impact. Prior to Mattel, at Simplot, Stephanie led a John West project that delivered the world’s single biggest brand commitment to sustainable fishing. The campaign won multiple awards, both overseas and locally including Australia’s highest sustainability award, The Banksia.

As a marketer, she sees the world through the customers lens and knows what they value. She’s able to translate that into brands that inspire and energise, and take a leadership position.

In the past 20 years she has built experience in internal as well as external senior stakeholder management with large multinationals and leading Australian FMCG companies. She has also worked with NGOs, Charities and NFPs across varied campaigns and positions.

As a leader, she is naturally engaging, highly approachable and renowned for flexing her style to galvanise diverse teams to work together and think differently to solve problems. She is a mentor for marketers at many different levels and often continues to mentor them as they evolve in their careers.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
