For over two decades Stephen has provided strategic branding advice to established and challenger brands based on robust research and evidence. His work focuses on deriving practical insights that aid decision-making, and fuel brand strength and growth. Stephen also develops research studies, white papers, models and proprietary tools for marketing services agencies.
Since starting his career at Brand Finance, Stephen has worked with a wide variety of B2B and B2C brands in sectors as diverse as steel manufacturing to sports retailing, and from higher education to health supplements.
Stephen chairs the Superbrands® and CoolBrands® Councils in the UK and oversees the annual selection processes for these programmes. Stephen is also Chair of the Brand Network, which provides insight, information, and inspiration to a community of over 120 leading brands through engaging content and invitation-only events.
Stephen is a regular commentator on CNN, the BBC and Sky among others, providing expertise on brands and the value of marketing.
Stephen encourages the next generation of marketers as a visiting professor and also a judge for the Marketing Academy scholarship.
