Steve holds the position of SVP, Innovation – North America at Diageo, a FTSE Top 5 business, with a market capitalization of c.£90bn. Diageo is the world’s leading premium drinks business, operating in 180 countries, with over 200 brands including Crown Royal, Don Julio, Casamigos, Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Captain Morgan and Guinness.
In his current role, Steve leads a large innovation team who are responsible for end to end innovation across all trademarks and new to world brands, contributing c.$1 billion net sales every year. Steve leads Innovation strategy, ideation, development and commercialization for North America – bringing together R&D teams, Supply, Commercial teams and Marketing in order to deliver growth for Diageo and consistently launching some of the biggest Innovations in total beverage alcohol.
In a 20-year Diageo career, Steve has driven growth in Marketing leadership positions in a variety of very differentiated roles from leading global giants – Johnnie Walker, leading in-market business units (Africa Markets, Global Travel, Middle East and North Africa) and also leading Innovation for Diageo’s biggest regions (Africa, Europe, North America).
Steve has also been Managing Director of Diageo’s Indian Ocean and Cameroon business, sitting as an Executive Director of both the Seychelles Breweries and Diageo Reunion business.
Prior to joining Diageo, Steve held a number of Commercial and Marketing roles at the Boots Group (Boots Healthcare International).
