Steve Walker spent the first 25 years of his career in the mobile communications industry serving in a wide variety of senior commercial and NPD leadership roles. As a part of the global leadership team that established the Sony Ericsson brand in the early 2000’s he helped to build up this business as the primary challenger to the incumbent market leaders, growing market share and returning the company to profitability. As the industry switched from feature phones to internet-enabled smartphones, Steve assumed the role of Chief Marketing Officer responsible for all marketing activities on a worldwide basis. He then led the successful global introduction of the iconic Sony brand into the dynamic smartphone industry as well as the world-famous Sony sub-brands Walkman, CyberShot and PlayStation.
For the last decade Steve has led his own strategy and leadership development consultancy, supporting clients across the world in a multitude of industries to transform their leadership, business and brand performance. He is an accredited senior practitioner of executive coaching since 2015 and has worked with countless C-Suite leaders to help them enhance their own leadership capabilities.
Besides running his own business, Steve associates with a number of other global coaching firms, is a Non-Executive Director of Sussex County Football Association and Vice Chair of Trustees for Renewable World, a global INGO, as well as supporting several other social enterprises and charities. He is also the Co-Chair of Crawley & Maidenbower Panthers FC, a large grassroots football club in his local community with 400 youth and adult players.
