Susan is the Chief Marketing Officer at Tourism Australia, where she spearheads the organisation’s global marketing to drive demand for Australian leisure holidays and business events.
Since joining Tourism Australia in 2017, Susan’s relentless pursuit of marketing effectiveness and world class creativity has raised the bar in destination marketing. Since becoming CMO in 2019, her efforts have helped drive the recovery of inbound tourism following the devastating bushfires and the global pandemic. Some of her well known and well-loved, award-winning campaigns including the global ‘Come and Say G’day’ campaign, the ‘Dundee’ Super Bowl campaign in the US, and the Australian ‘Holiday Here This Year’ campaign.
A true believer in the power of creativity to build brands, grow businesses and shape culture, Susan has previously held marketing leadership roles at iconic brands including Westpac and Qantas. She also worked at globally revered advertising agencies in Australia, Singapore and Los Angeles, including The Campaign Palace, Publicis Mojo, BBH and TBWAChiatDay.
Susan has been recognised as one of the top CMOs in Australia and Asia Pacific on Campaign Asia’s CMO Power List, B&T’s CMO Power List, AWARD CMO of the Year, and the CMO50.
She is a member of the ADMA Advisory Board and is a mentor for The Marketing Academy, demonstrating her commitment to nurturing talent and driving industry best practice.
