Susan Jones, Diageo’s Chief Digital Officer, leads consumer digital transformation and is responsible for end-to-end consumer digital engagement with Diageo’s world-class portfolio of 200+ brands, including Johnnie Walker, Guinness, and Baileys.
Under her leadership at Diageo, Susan has brought together omnichannel marketing, digital commerce, and marketing analytics, to deliver one connected experience for consumers and identify new avenues of growth for the business. Her remit includes overseeing Diageo’s effectiveness tools, Catalyst and Sensor, curating Connected Data to address big business challenges, and using AI and other technologies to optimize media and creative performance– all of which have delivered improved effectiveness and efficiency for Diageo across all its markets in the three years in which she has been in role.
With a natural curiosity stemming from her degree in journalism from Syracuse University, Susan has been a pivotal voice in shaping what digital transformation means today, driving results by building interconnected systems of data, marketing, and commerce capabilities that respond faster and more relevantly to consumer needs.
Before her current position, Susan led media, digital, and analytics for Diageo’s North American business, as well as the Baileys brand team in that market. Susan started her career in media at MediaCom in New York and Tucker Wayne/Luckie & Company in Atlanta.
When she’s not hard at work on digital transformation, Susan enjoys spending time with her two kids and her dog, training for marathons, traveling, and watching soccer (which she does not call football, even though she lives in London).
