Tanya leads an energised team at Virgin StartUp dedicated to empowering founders to start up and thrive in their business. Her work focuses on enabling the next wave of entrepreneurs across the UK to discover the tools, funding and community that can help bring their ideas to life.
Before this, Tanya led marketing at The Careers & Enterprise Company, where she built the organisation’s marketing function and helped position it as a key driver in transforming the careers landscape for young people in England.
Her career spans both agency and client-side roles, including work with technology organisations such as Microsoft, Atos and CACI. A thread running throughout Tanya’s career is curiosity. She possesses a constant drive to learn, explore new ideas and find better ways to solve problems.
Developing people has always been central to Tanya’s leadership style. She is passionate about helping others grow, mentoring emerging talent and sharing advice with early-stage founders navigating the realities of building a business.
Tanya has also been recognised by Marketing Week as one of its Future Marketing Leaders, highlighting her contribution to the profession and her commitment to developing the next generation of marketing talent.
Outside of work, Tanya is deeply involved in her local community. When she’s not chasing after her two very busy young children, she supports her local residents’ association board, offers marketing advice to community initiatives, and helps organise outdoor events throughout the year that bring families within the community together.
