Tom is currently the Global Director of Brand Marketing and Innovation at Under Armour, one of the world’s leading sports brands. As an Australian, a passion for sport is embedded in his DNA and he brings that passion to his current portfolio of global brand strategy, global brand campaigns and key product innovation. Tom started working for Under Armour in Australia leading Digital Marketing, before being relocated to the Global HQ in Baltimore where he led global content strategy and social for the run category and then digital strategy activation and enablement before stepping into his current role.
Prior to Under Armour, Tom was the lead Brand Strategist for Tumblr in Australia where he was awarded the B&T 30 Under 30 award in 2016. As Tumblr’s first hire outside the US, he led the commercial development of Tumblr in Australia, from go-to-market strategy all the way through to campaign execution in partnership with the local Yahoo team. He also worked in a number or agency strategy roles across clients such as Diageo, Nestle, Campbell Arnotts, Cannon, PZ Cussons, Toyota, Coca Cola and Kimberly Clark.
Tom has always highly valued professional and personal growth and is always seeking opportunities to learn. Tom is a recent graduate of Leadership Coaching for Organisation Performance at American University, a top 10 student in the 2018 cohort of Marketing Week’s Mini MBA in Marketing with Mark Ritson, and a graduate of AWARD School one of Australia’s best creative advertising programs.
