He joined Philip Morris in the UK at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 and rapidly adapted and embedded into the business, shaped the growth strategy and led the team to capitalise on the e-commerce growth opportunity which is now the leading channel for the business. This has resulted in market share leadership in the UK.
Previously he was on gardening leave and spent quality time with the family and travelling which included a trek to the Everest Base Camp!
He has been the Global Brand Director for BAT plc’s vaping business and was responsible for upstream innovation, product development, experience design and Go to Market strategy. His team was responsible for launch of products in multiple markets across Western Europe and Canada. Prior to that he was the Regional Marketing Director in Asia Pacific for a GBP 5 Billion regional business unit.
He started his international career in 2013 as the Sales and Marketing Director for BAT plc’s Vietnam and Cambodia business, leading a 1200+ people team across frontline sales and commercial functions.
Vikaas was lucky to launch Red Bull in India right from setting up the team, to shaping strategy and scaling up the launch.
He started his career after a Masters in Management with Coca-Cola in India and was with them for eleven years with roles of increasing responsibility across all commercial functions.
He is married to Shebani who is an accomplished UX professional and they live in London with their two young children who occupy most of their free time! They love exploring new cultures and food together!
