Will joined Wunderman Thompson in 2019, where he is now a Global Client Lead overseeing the strategic growth of some of the agency’s most ambitious clients and partners, including Pets at Home, GSK, Dell, Amazon, News International, and Toyota. He originally joined the agency as EMEA Chief of Staff after the merger of Wunderman and J. Walter Thompson in 2018, where he helped develop the operating model and business planning process for the newly merged regional network, encompassing 36 offices and 8,000 employees.
In 2017, Will began his journey with WPP on their Marketing Fellowship programme, working across the world’s largest marketing holding company at agencies such as Ogilvy Consulting and PSB Insights and brands such as Unilever, Impossible Foods, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the US Census Bureau, LEGO, and Costa Coffee. Prior to joining the wild and wonderful world of marketing, Will started his career working in government and international development, with stints in the United States Peace Corps mission in Costa Rica and in the Obama Administration’s National Economic Council, focused on helping emerging veteran entrepreneurs.
Will is passionate about finding opportunities to mentor others who are looking to break into the marketing industry. This led him to help launch both Wunderman Thompson’s Catalyst Academy in 2021, the agency’s first regional graduate trainee programme, and WPP’s Summer Accelerator Programme in 2019, an internship focused on attracting underrepresented talent.
In his spare time, Will can be found cycling, listening to his favourite podcasts, and trying out new restaurants in London – and beyond!
