Yvonne Richardson, Executive Advisor to the CMO, Commonwealth Bank

Yvonne is the Executive Advisor to the CMO at the Commonwealth Bank. In this role, Yvonne leads a small team that is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of the Marketing Strategy; providing executive level support to the CMO – through driving and advising on strategic priorities, bringing customer and operational insights to life through various Marketing reports; and championing outside-in thinking to enable continuous improvement of the Marketing function.

A role where you begin to expect the unexpected and no two days are the same, it draws on Yvonne’s strategic, creative and analytical capabilities, along with her ability to make sense of multiple perspectives. Yvonne has also held leadership roles in Marketing Strategy and Sponsorship at CommBank.

Prior to joining CommBank, Yvonne developed reputation-driving campaigns for the University of Sydney, lived and worked in Singapore where she led the global sponsorship strategy for Standard Chartered Bank’s wholesale division and managed sponsorships and events at NRMA Motoring Services.

Yvonne is always up for a challenge and is someone who thrives when working on strategic problems. She has the ability to bring cohesion to ambiguity and does so with a passion to drive results, while also having fun along the way.

Outside of work, you will find her spending time with her little girl as she navigates the ways of the world or expending her energy training for her next amateur triathlon.

The program is free but highly selective so firstly we ask senior business leaders working within Marketing, Media and Advertising to nominate the best of their emerging leaders for a place on the program. All ‘nominees’ then receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ which includes essential information about the process.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2026 ARE OPEN

Applicants may apply to EITHER cohort regardless of country of residence, but must commit to attend both Residential dates & the Virtual day of their chosen cohort. Attendance is mandatory and a condition of acceptance onto the program.
