The Marketing Academy has selected The Good Relations Group, the brand building communications and CSR consultancy, as its official PR faculty partner for its 2013 scholarship programme. The programme aims to turn high potential marketing talent into tomorrow’s business leaders.

The Marketing Academy Scholarship provides the marketing and communications industry – and all of its leaders, academics, entrepreneurs and practitioners – with the opportunity to inspire, develop and coach an entire generation of future business leaders.

As the Marketing Academy’s first PR faculty partner The Good Relations Group was selected for its modern, fresh approach to PR and its ‘Power of Good’ positioning.  As a Faculty Partner, The Good Relations Group will host events for scholars including workshops and bespoke learning days.

The Good Relations Group’s chairman Kevin Murray has 40 years of experience at the highest levels in the communications arena but feels that now, more than ever before, organisations and their leaders have the opportunity to determine success through the careful nurturing of relationships and trust in their brand.

“This means more sensitively and proactively managing your relationships with all of your publics to thrive in a new radically transparent, networked and 24/7 world.

“It’s now incumbent on every brand and business to better explain and demonstrate how they are a force for good. That’s what will increasingly drive inspired relationships with all stakeholders – not just the media – and that will define your success. PR today is about us helping clients do the right things to build relationships and then build their brands through great communications.

“To do this often relies on us engaging with the most senior leaders within our clients. We’re delighted to be working in partnership with The Marketing Academy and helping to develop these senior leaders of the future.”

Sherilyn Shackell, CEO of the Marketing Hall of Legends (UK) and Founder of The Marketing Academy commented: “Working with the Good Relations Group will bring our scholars into contact with world-class PR thinkers and practitioners. To become truly effective leaders it is vital for our Scholars to gain a deep understanding of how to manage reputation and build trust in brands and companies. The insight they’ll gain from the Good Relations Group will provide this. ”
