Brand Learning Sponsors Marketing Academy Scholars to attend Prestigious MGGB Dinners

Brand Learning is working in collaboration with Sherilyn Shackell at The Marketing Academy to enable one deserving Marketing Academy scholar to attend as a guest at each Marketing Group of Great Britain (MGGB) dinner throughout the 2013/14 season.

The Marketing Group of Great Britain is one of the UK’s most prestigious members-only clubs for Marketing and agency leaders. There are 10 black-tie dinners a year where distinguished speakers provide inspiration for members and their guests to debate today’s marketing and business challenges. Previous speakers have included Prince Charles, Gordon Brown and Al Gore as well as Chairmen and Chief Executives of some of Britain’s largest companies. Held in the formal setting of the Ballroom at Claridge’s, membership is restricted to 150 (by invitation only) and the Chair rotates each year – this year’s Chair being Brand Learning Co-Founder and CEO, Mhairi McEwan.

“This is an exceptional opportunity for a brilliant and ambitious Marketing Academy scholar to take part in such a high-profile evening,” says McEwan. “Brand Learning has always been impressed by the high caliber of the scholars and we’re thrilled to enable some of these special individuals, all sponsored by their organisations, to continue their development as leaders through attending these events.”

Brand Learning has been a proud partner of the Marketing Academy Scholarship programme since it was founded in 2010. Each year the Marketing Academy Scholarship identifies up to 30 of the most exceptionally talented individuals from Marketing, Advertising and Communication, to teach them leadership skills through one-to-one mentoring, coaching and bespoke learning. Brand Learning are part of the team of high profile business leaders, mentors and coaches from organisations including Google, O2 and British Gas who volunteer their time to develop Scholars through one-to-one and face-to-face mentoring sessions, lunch and learns and inspirational learning experiences and workshops.
