Thomas Schroeter, CMO & CPO – Scout24 Group

Thomas is the Chief Product and Marketing Officer at Scout24 – a leading European classifieds player with strong consumer brands in real estate (ImmobilienScout24) and cars (AutoScout24).

Thomas started his career at The Boston Consulting Group and since then built his expertise and experience at the intersection of marketing, product & general management in the digital space. He has started up, lead, and grown digital business models in every way, shape & form: Start-up and big corporate, national and international, traditional and modern.

Prior to joining Scout24, Thomas was Chief Operating Officer for eBay Germany, the world’s largest online marketplace, and Managing Director of ViA-Online GmbH. During his career, he also worked at the Swiss bank Clariden Leu AG and as a co-founder and managing director of the language portal bab.la, which was successfully sold to Oxford University Press in 2015.

Thomas holds a master’s degree in business administration with international studies in Germany, France and USA. As a football enthusiast and supporter of his home club “1. FC Köln”, he also holds a Ph.D. in sports economics. Thomas lives in Berlin with his wife and daughter.
