Aoife Owen, Marketing Controller, Entertainment, Comedy, ITV2, ITVBe, CITV at ITV

Aoife is currently working at ITV on the Entertainment, ITVBe, Comedy, Daytime and CSR portfolio. It’s a dream job, working on some of the biggest and most loved programmes in TV, including Britain’s Got Talent, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, X Factor and The Voice. She’s been at ITV since 2015, in a job share role which she undertook when she went back to work after having her first child. Before that, Aoife spent 11 years at the BBC, where she worked in a variety of roles and on a number of brands. Her last role there was Head of Marketing for BBC Three, where she was part of the strategy team that took the channel off TV and into its new digital future. She also spent three years working on BBC One, looking after huge TV brands such as EastEnders and Strictly, and launching The Voice in the UK. She spent three and a half years working in News and Current Affairs, where highlights included managing the marketing activity for the 2010 General Election. Her early career began with BBC Worldwide marketing pre-school magazines, including launching the first ever children’s weekly magazine, CBeebies.
