Berit Block, Marketing Programs Lead, EMEA, Facebook

Berit has been in marketing roles in Germany and the UK for the past 13 years. She joined Facebook in 2017 and is currently leading a range of global and regional marketing programs. As part of the EMEA Business Marketing function, her team helps tailor marketing programs to the needs of priority audiences and works hand-in-hand with country marketing teams, product marketing and comms to create successful activations.

Prior to working at Facebook, Berit spent 5 years at programmatic adtech company, dataxu (now part of Roku), where she was hired as Europe’s first marketing director for the company. She led all aspects of marketing incl. successful campaigns to increase brand awareness, retain the most valuable customer segments, and drive demand from new prospects.

Berit held multiple positions since joining comScore in 2009 – from PR & Events to overseeing marketing for the UK and 10 countries across Northern Europe. During her time at comScore Berit was awarded with the Rising Star Award by the American Research Foundation (ARF).

One thing all her work has in common is her desire to start new initiatives, from a new website at comScore to share data and infographics, the first pre-sales function globally at DataXu or scoping marketing programs for new business audiences at Facebook.

Berit volunteers her time with the Princess Trust and Calm and particularly enjoys mentoring. She has recently joined Bloom to help younger women in the industry advance their careers.

Outside of work she is a keen runner and tries to spend as much time as possible outside with her two young children.
