As founder of Thought Starter, Daianna is growing a movement of everyday activists by putting the power to change the world in the hands of millions of people. She works with businesses to give employees the resources to change the world in their day jobs, and with event organisers to transform their ’talking shops’ into ‘doing shops’ where ideas and inspiration are turned immediately into tangible action.
For 20 years, she’s worked in social impact and strategic marketing with big corporates and small startups, client-side and agency, with brands like IKEA, Lego, M&S, Unilever and Pearson… and been an advisor to Prince Charles too.
In 2018, she was named by The Dots as one of the Top 10 Creative Leaders Working to Change the World for the Better. Her work with EDF Energy won a Cannes Lion Award, IPA Effectiveness Award and Marketing Society Grand Prix.
She’s on the advisory board of tech startup Stuffstr, has served as Jury President of the D&AD Awards, and is on the faculty of Year Here and The School for Social Entrepreneurs. She has written for The Economist, Quartz and Courier, and been written about in The Guardian, The Huffington Post and Positive News.
