Kathryn joined The Walt Disney Company in 2014, working as a marketing manager within the Consumer Products division. She is currently responsible for leading the relationship and marketing strategy with Disney’s largest and most prestigious retailer; Tesco. During her time in this role she successfully launched the largest ever Disney-Tesco collaborative marketing campaign celebrating Mickeys 90th Birthday with Tesco’s fashion brand F&F, leveraging Disneyland Paris partnerships and delivering 67% sales uplift versus estimated projection.
During the past 5 years she has also delivered successful campaigns across 10+ retailer partners, ranging from grocers to high street fashion, deploying campaigns across a broad spectrum of brands, including the biggest and 4th biggest grossing films in box office records Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avengers: Infinity War, as well as the Academy Award winning Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Live Action.
After graduating with a distinction in Business Management from the University of Surrey, Kathryn returned to work at her placement employer, Mars Chocolate to work within their Trade Marketing department. Expanding her knowledge in the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) sector, she spent 2 years working across Christmas, Halloween and Boxed Chocolate brands before taking the leap to set up her own Marketing Consultancy in 2012. During this time, she applied her retail industry knowledge to support up and coming confectionery and FMCG brands, personally negotiating a highly prominent concession for a British confectionery in Dubai’s largest sweet shop. 2 years later, a fantastic opportunity at The Walt Disney Company came up, and she’s not looked back since!
Kathryn is a driven, creative and energetic marketer, always looking for new ways to push herself and to make a difference to the brands and teams that she works with. Outside of work, she has a huge passion for exercise and wellness and so in her spare time can be found engaging in regular Spin, Boxing and Yoga classes or trying to inspire others to get up and be active.
