When I applied for The Marketing Academy, I didn’t really know too much about it, so whilst I really wanted to get onto the program I wasn’t desperate.
The Marketing Academy has been quite simply the most career-defining programme that I have ever been on. As well as providing access and insights from some amazing leaders across industries, the course also forces you to examine your own beliefs, motivations and ways of working. It is almost impossible not to come out the other side with a clearer sense of purpose, not only about your work but about your whole life.
YouÕll hear a lot of people say The Marketing Academy is life-changing. You probably wonÕt believe it. Not really.
IÕve been keeping a daily journal for the last two years. I only realized how truly life-changing TMA had been for me when I decided to compare journal entries from before and after. Seeing the stark difference in how I spoke about relationships, went about leadership, thought about others, handled difficult situations, and most of all, how I viewed myself, moved me to tears.
Great leaders inspire us because they change things. They donÕt just make do. They donÕt just fit in. They donÕt just exist. They shape the world around us. There are many different styles of leadership that work, but I believe the one consistent characteristic all leaders have is an incredible sense of belief. In themselves, in their purpose, in their values. This is everything TMA helps you to nurture.
If you want to just make do. If you want to just fit in. If you want to just exist. The Marketing Academy is not for you.
Normally when you go to a conference you have 1 or 2 speakers that are brilliant, but I found every single one provided some piece of brilliance for me to take away.
The Marketing Academy is the most incredible learning opportunity. The combination of open, inspiring and generous mentors, coaching sessions, bootcamp talks and workshops and lunch and learns provide a brilliant opportunity to soak up knowledge from incredible leaders and think about how you can apply the ideas to your own life and work.

If you’re curious and motivated to charge yourself up and grow into the best person you can be, then you will absolutely love the journey the scholarship takes you on. It’s provided a different way of thinking that will stay with me, always.
They say there is no limit to the brain’s desire to learn. The learnings we have gathered through this incredible journey has certainly tested that assumption!
This Scholarship has made me feel younger. The future is clearer and the path to get there has more helping hands than ever!
The five days we were together as a group was so much more then I could ever have imagined, in my head I knew I would learn something, but I never thought that it would change my outlook so dramatically. I described it to someone over the weekend as a sliding door moment from which point things changed both personally and at work.
The Fellowship is a great way for CMOs to achieve a gear-change in their development. What is striking is the similarity of the challenges that everyone across the cohort is facing in defining and achieving their next chapter, whether that be to secure a CEO next or in moving upwards in general. It is hard to imagine a year packed with more opportunities and stimulus to deepen understanding of what being CEO entails, and to figure out the journey towards that.
For me the Academy has all been about sharing. I still can’t believe the insights and stories that have been shared by industry leaders, faculty partners and the brilliant minds of scholars. This community of sharing has opened up a completely different future for me.
