The Marketing Academy is a unique program, offering its 30-strong cohort the opportunity to learn from the UKÕs top marketing and business talent. From CEO lunches to mentoring to coaching, the network and opportunity offered by Sherilyn and team is unparalleled and is supporting the development of new modern leaders. ItÕs been a privilege to be part of such a wonderful program and personally, IÕve met some lifelong friends and hope to pay forward the learnings and experience.
The Marketing Academy has given me access to a wide range of people who have candidly shared their knowledge and experiences with me. Understanding their different approaches and views has helped me better shape my objectives, given me tools to improve my leadership style, and made me realize the true worth of building my own brand.
The Fellowship is a great way for CMOs to achieve a gear-change in their development. What is striking is the similarity of the challenges that everyone across the cohort is facing in defining and achieving their next chapter, whether that be to secure a CEO next or in moving upwards in general. It is hard to imagine a year packed with more opportunities and stimulus to deepen understanding of what being CEO entails, and to figure out the journey towards that.
The Marketing Academy changed my future – it helped me realize my dream, the business leader I want to be and where my boundaries lay. It allowed me to have a massive injection of curiosity and is the reason I am now starting up my second business – anyone who doesn’t see how transformative it will be to them, their corporation and their life needs to look again.
As dramatic as it sounds, it is a life changing program. Be accepting to change as a human being, a leader, a marketer and a change maker – because that will happen. Without a doubt, this is the best education or self-improvement experience I’ve done, and the one I’ve had the most tangible results and improvements from. Now just don’t let the cultish language of the Alumni scare you- it just really is that good and we all believe in it that much.

The Marketing Academy offers an unprecedented opportunity to meet face to face with the movers and shakers in the business world and bounce back ideas. The Scholarship is unique in boosting ones understanding and perception of what it means to be a true business leader. I believe that this is the only program which offers a tailored approach to personal development; it shaped my perception, behaviour and attitude.
Becoming part of the Scholarship has changed my life. I have been given access to people I have only ever read about who happily share all their pearls of wisdom with me. I have been taught leadership skills that have truly changed my outlook not only in my working life but in my personal life too – skills which I am now using to become the person I want to be. I still every day think about how lucky I have been to be a part of this amazing opportunity and urge anyone considering being involved to do everything you can to be part of this.
I’m not one for soppy stories but I have truly become a better person as an output of the Scholarship. Never have I revised, reflected and refined myself so much. I am truly grateful to have been given the time to just think about the leader I want to be, not have to be. Priceless.
The Fellowship is a fantastic experience, giving access to faculty materials, insider experience from senior mentors and a close peer network that you cannot access anywhere else. Amazing, humbling and great fun.
