If you want to meet others who can help you think differently about your objectives in work and the outcomes you are delivering, and at the same time learn more about how to grow your personal impact – then apply. You’ll make life long friends and a network more valuable than an MBA.
A set of experiences, encounters and people that have had an incredibly profound effect on my life. I will look back on this as one of those moments where things changed forever. Remember: the way of the river!
The Scholarship has been an amazing opportunity for me. At the beginning it was difficult to get my head around all the advice I was given, however 6 months down the line the experience has helped me not only understand where I want to go in my career, but also helped me action them in my current role.
I’m not one for soppy stories but I have truly become a better person as an output of the Scholarship. Never have I revised, reflected and refined myself so much. I am truly grateful to have been given the time to just think about the leader I want to be, not have to be. Priceless.
The Marketing Academy is a truly game-changing program, the most valuable learning experience I’ve had. It has already and will continue to raise the standards and profile of our entire industry.
The first thing I was delighted by, when day one of The Marketing Academy commenced, was the extremely high calibre of speakers for the bootcamp. This was quickly followed by the realisation that the other 29 Scholars were some of the most talented, ambitious and nice yet ego-less peers that I had met in our industry. The nine-month program has given me unparalleled access to and inspiration from the top talent of our industry, from TMA scholars and speakers, to mentors and coaches. The scholars’ personal and professional growth has been significant, with many outcomes shared at our final bootcamp, including promotions, payrises, increased gravitas, better industry profiles and personal milestones reached. I canÕt recommend this program highly enough, it lifts the emotional intelligence and cohesiveness of the whole industry.
Talking to truly inspirational mentors on the program has transformed the way that I now think about and approach Marketing leadership.
This opportunity has allowed me to really take control of my career development.
The network of other scholars who are always there to share learnings and help when you need them have been so valuable.
When I look back on my career on the night of my retirement, I’m fairly certain I’ll conclude my year on The Marketing Academy was the pivotal point in transforming my journey, and ultimately the person I’ve gone on to become.
The Marketing Academy should be compulsory for everyone.
A must for CMOs with eyes on a general management role.
Boot Camp certainly enabled me to look at issues differently, understand how I communicate and I learned so much more about myself and my values that I thought I ever could. I have attended many ‘leadership’ courses throughout my career but this programme is outstanding!
I truly believe The Marketing Academy to be the most inspiring, creative and effective professional development program in the industry – if not the world. It is phenomenal that, with the support of our partners, it can be offered to scholars for free – when the coaching, network, learning opportunities and development skills you get match that of an MBA. I feel incredibly privileged to have been part of the inaugural year and it would be no exaggeration to say that I draw on my learnings from that year every day. There are few experiences so genuinely guaranteed to change your life, and I thank everyone involved for making that happen for me. Support it, apply for it, or nominate someone else, but find a way to get involved. I promise that you will reap the rewards.
The Fellowship is a fantastic experience, giving access to faculty materials, insider experience from senior mentors and a close peer network that you cannot access anywhere else. Amazing, humbling and great fun.
The Marketing Academy Fellowship is a great programme – think of it as the best bits of an MBA.
Winning a place on the Fellowship is like a lottery win for ambitious senior marketers seeking personal development. You really need to commit the time to the sessions to get the value back. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the Fellowship cohort – some of the very best Marketing Directors/CMOs from the top brands across several sectors. I feel privileged to have spent so much time with this class bunch. It’s really interesting to share experiences & understand that many have the same dreams and anxieties as you. Hopefully we’ll stay in close touch as our careers evolve. The programme is hugely well supported by top class talent from the likes of McKinsey, Slaughter & May, Freuds, Spencer Stuart etc. – they really roll out the big guns. Who better to learn from! I’ve been going through some major career decision points during the programme and the quality of the coaching & mentoring support here has been first class – and helped crystallise some big changes. My only grumble – it’ll be over soon!
It’s incredible what you can learn and achieve in just six months. The Marketing Academy has enabled me not only make transformations within our business – in areas as diverse as leadership and culture to business goals and strategies – but has given me invaluable tools in personal leadership. I can genuinely say that The Marketing Academy will have a positive and meaningful impact on the legacy I play a part in building.
The Marketing Academy teaches you so much more than marketing, you learn to live and lead a better life. Every industry should have an Academy!
The ripple effect of The Marketing Academy is hard to fathom. It extends far beyond every Scholar and will last long after the year. Long may the learning, development, sharing and fantastic network of inspiring people continue!
The Marketing Academy had a profound impact on my life – enhancing both personal and professional relationships – and continues to do so through friends, peers and networks which extend way beyond the one year Scholarship.
The Marketing Academy programme gave me the opportunity and chance to reflect intensely on my role as a leader at work, at home, in life. This reflection has brought a greater sense of self awareness and positivity to everything I touch. Eternally grateful.
Clarity, confidence and a fighting spirit – the headline I would put against the Marketing Academy Scholarship.
You may go in being clear on what you want to achieve but be prepared to unpack everything you thought you knew, be prepared to open your mind and be inspired by both incredible speakers & your fellow Scholars, be prepared to learn skills & techniques to grow your capability as a leader and come out the other side with real clarity on what really gets you out of bed in the morning. YouÕll capture the confidence to carve out the career you want, and release the self-belief to put the right things in place to achieve it.
With the knowledge that you then have 29 other people rooting for you, not to mention the mentors, coach, speakers, alumni and Marketing Academy team you meet along the way, your fighting spirit will come to the fore to make both you and those around you true leaders of change.
Being in the Marketing Academy Scholarship program is the one of the best things have happened in my life. The Marketing Academy is not just about your career development, but your life: it is a once-in-life opportunity to help you refine yourself, find your goals, discover what matters the most to you, and develop leadership in your own style.
