The Marketing Academy announces the Scholarship Programme ‘Class of 2016’

30 emerging marketing leaders have been selected for The Marketing Academy’s 2016 Scholarship Programme from over 350 nominations

The free year long leadership programme for talented brand and agency marketers is entering its seventh year and is designed to prepare them for their journey to senior marketing leaders

Headline sponsors for the 2016 programme include; Adobe, Facebook, ITV, Lloyds Banking Group, Microsoft, and Marketing Week

After a rigorous selection process that included more than 350 nominees, 150 face to face interviews and a selection panel of over 25 marketing and HR practitioners, The Marketing Academy has unveiled the 30 emerging leaders selected for the UK’s 7th Scholarship Programme.

The Marketing Academy is a non-profit and voluntary organisation that develops leadership capability in talented marketers from the worlds of marketing, media, advertising and communications.  Each year 30 rising stars are invited to take part in a year-long programme of mentoring, coaching and experiential learning delivered by the UK’s most successful business leaders, senior marketers and award winning companies.

The 30 new Scholars were revealed at a party to celebrate the start of the 2016 Scholarship on Tuesday 10th May 2016 at The Emirates Stadium at which the Academy’s stella line-up of Mentors, Fellows, Coaches and Sponsors also celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2015.

The Marketing Academy Founder Sherilyn Shackell said: “I’m thrilled by the calibre of applications this year and I’d like to thank all the companies and business leaders who nominated their best people for the programme. The final selection gets harder each year as the calibre and volume of candidates increases. We’re tremendously grateful to our selection panel who help make the tough decisions. I’m just sorry we only have 30 scholarship places because if this year’s nominees are anything to go by the industry’s high potential talent pool is just getting bigger and bigger!’’

The Marketing Academy is proud to announce the delegates for the 2016 Scholarship Programme.
