The Marketing Academy Merlin Awards

“Mentoring is all about people – it’s about caring, relationships and sensitivity” Rene Carayol’s, CEO Inspired Leaders Network.

Here at The Marketing Academy we believe that mentoring is a key element of learning and we consider ourselves especially lucky to have some of the UK’s greatest marketers and leaders donate their time to mentor and develop our Scholars.  Every year each of those Scholars select just one person from all the mentors and speakers they have met across their Scholarship programme to receive a ‘Merlin Award’.  It is their way of thanking and appreciating the individual from whom they received that extra special gift of wisdom, advice, insight and inspiration.

The Merlin Awards were personally presented to the winning mentors at a Gala Party on Monday 13th May at The Emirates Stadium, London.  The awards themselves were a glass paperweight inscribed with the Academy’s Mascot ‘Merlin’ the Owl and presented in gift boxes.

Sherilyn Shackell, Founder of The Marketing Academy says

“We are incredibly privileged to have so many respected and talented leaders donate their time to The Academy and the effect it has on our Scholars can be incredibly profound.  We devised the Merlin Award as a way for each Scholar to thank the Mentor whose advice, insights and wisdom really resonated at that point in their learning.  Congratulations to all of them.”
