The Marketing Academy Scholars showcase leadership lessons with free industry lecture

The Marketing Academy has announced that it is to hold a free ‘SHOWCASE 2016’ lecture on 10th May 2016 at Emirates Stadium, London from 4.30pm to 6pm. The lecture concludes the Class of 2015’s Scholarship year, and will feature the graduating scholars sharing the leadership lessons, emerging trends, and career changing information they’ve learnt throughout the year.

The Marketing Academy is a non-profit and voluntary organisation that develops leadership capability in talented marketers from the worlds of marketing, media, advertising and communications.

Each year 30 rising stars are invited to take part in a year-long programme where they receive coaching, mentoring and experiential learning from senior marketers and business leaders. This year’s intake include marketers from brands such as airbnb, Channel 4, and British Gas, and agencies including AMV BBDO, Livity and eatbigfish.

It’s the first time those who’ve taken part in the programme have created an event of this kind, to pass on the lessons learnt.

Graduating Scholar Angharad Jones, Content Development Director at Redwood Group says: “We’ve taken on the challenge of distilling 360 hours of mentoring, 360 hours of coaching, 15 days of bespoke Faculty and Boot Camp learning, a dozen long lunches with a stellar cast of CEOs and much more into 90 interactive minutes of ideas, tips, tricks and take-outs to help kick-start your development or help you give someone else the boost they need.”

The SHOWCASE 2016 lecture will focus on areas including Purpose, Vision and People and will share the tools to help the next generation of marketers on their leadership journey.
