The many learning elements of The Marketing Academy Scholarship are underpinned by the one on one coaching each Scholar receives courtesy of a team of Executive Coaches who all donate their time to the programme. Designed and run by Wisdom8, a global leadership and coaching firm and supported by the Association for Coaching, the coaching programme provides the scholars with a critical sounding board as well as challenges and facilitates the Scholars thinking and development.
We’re proud to be able to announce the 30 Executive Coaches who are working with the 2014 cohort of Marketing Academy Scholars.
Sherilyn Shackell, Founder of The Marketing Academy says “The coaching element of the Scholarship Programme is the key to ensuring all the different learning streams are embedded. We are incredibly grateful to the team of coaches who donate so much energy and time to the Scholars, they really help to make the medium of coaching the cornerstone to the Scholarship programme”.
Katherine Tulpa, Founder of Wisdom8 and CEO of the Association for Coaching says “I know I speak for the entire coaching faculty gifting their time to the Academy by saying that each gains as much from the programme as what they give! As most of the team are used to coaching leaders at the top, what has been gained by coaching the GenY generation, some of the some of the best in Marketing, is enriching.’’
Perhaps the biggest gain though, comes from the voice of a Scholar. Michael Wilton, Account Director at M&C Saatchi and 2013 Scholar says “Coaching was not something that I had actively considered before, so I didn’t really know how it would help me. As a result, I did not expect the profound effect it would have on my thinking and the approach to all facets of my career. From how I deal with day to day challenges, through to career planning – my coach really helped me tap into what I wanted to do and how I could do it.”
